Spicy Black Bean Hummus
Spice up your day with this yummy black bean hummus! This hummus is a great snack with some veggies or crackers. Make it a main dish by throwing it on a big salad or heat it up on a gluten free tortilla with some sautéed veggies and cheese to make a quesadilla. Or you could go the whole burrito bowl route and throw it into a bowl with brown rice/quinoa, shredded lettuce, veggies, cheese, guac and salsa.
Obvi this hummus is super versatile and can be incorporated into tons of dishes. It’s so easy to make and you can adjust the spice level to whatever you’re in the mood for.
Ingredients:
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 cloves garlic
3 Tbsp fresh cilantro
3 Tbsp tahini
3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
¼ tsp chili powder
¼ tsp cumin
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
Salt to taste
Steps:
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and process until smooth. If you can’t get it completely smooth, it’s okay to have some chunkies in there.
